I am a Surrogate Partner, certified in 1991by the International Professional Surrogates Association (IPSA) and practicing in San Pablo, California. I came to this practice with studies in various sexuality teachings such as Tantra and the Sweet Medicine Sundance Teachings of Quodoshka.
My comfort with my own sexuality and the ability to go to deeply intimate places with my partners led me to know that this was a work I would not only love, but find rewarding. I am highly intuitive in my work and psychologically astute enabling me to communicate and to do deep work with my clients and their therapists.
We work together as a team to develop the skills necessary to have a sense of confidence, not only about the client’s sexuality but about their ability to create the relationships that they desire. As we deal with the issues of the body, we heal the heart.
In a relaxed, non demanding atmosphere, some of the issues we might address are :

The work begins with the practice of sensate focus or touching our partner for our own pleasure. This takes us out of the head and into the experience of really being present with the other and focused on our own sensations. This is actually a great gift that the other receives, the awareness that their body, through simple touch, gives great pleasure. So, sensate focus touch becomes home, a place to which we can always return when confusion or nervousness have us out of our body, focused on the partner, or simply shut down.
Our work together becomes a mini relationship, with a beginning, a middle and an end, that exists in it’s own world, once a week or whatever schedule we might choose.
I am available for weekly and bi weekly sessions, but I also do intensive schedules, where the client comes from out of town, for anywhere from 5 to 14 days. Intensives are for 3 hours each day, every day and the client sees the therapist for one hour a day as well. I am also happy to refer clients to therapists in this area.
I believe that the body and relationship are the great teachers, and my goal is to help you to establish a delightful, satisfying and rewarding connection to both. We can also have lots of fun and laughter along the way.
One of the highlights of my work was when I received a card from a client with whom I had finished an intensive. After thanking me and saying some lovely things, he said in conclusion, “My promise to you is to always do my best to love without fear”. For me, nothing more needs to be said.
My background:
I’ve worked in documentary television (still do on a very part time basis), have been in the healing arts for 20 years, have been a dancer all my life and now teach a movement form that is a fusion of dance, martial arts and yoga and practice several modes of spirituality.
